"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.  You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.  And these words that I command you today whall be on your heart.  You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and whn you rise.  You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.  You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates."          Deuteronomy 6:1-9

What Moses is declaring in the passage above from Deuteronomy 6 centers upon the idea that we have been tasked with stewarding the gospel.  We have been given the responsibility to make sure that the next generation comes to know God and his Word.  This is a command given primarily to parents, but also to the church as a whole and to every individual adult.  Westwood believes that family discipleship works best when the church and the home work in concert together.  Parents have been given the primary role of discipler of their children.  The role of the church should be one of support and equipping.

Westwood partners with parents by asking them to join us in being intentional in 3 distinct ways.(Click on the links to the right to explore each one!)

1. Have Intentional Faith Talks in your home throughout the week.
2. Look for and capture God Moments within the life of your family.
3. Participate with Westwood in celebrating key Milestones in your child's life.
