Is there a command to obey?
How am I compelled to exalt God?
Is there a promise to claim?

Am I convicted to confess any sin?
Is there a sin to avoid?
How do I need to rest in Jesus/the gospel?
How can I pray for someone else?
What am I compelled to love or desire?
DO (YIELD): How does God’s Word Call me to yield my life?
In your journal, write your answers and thoughts in response to the following questions.
- How would you use this passage (Ephesians 4:17-24) to explain Christianity to someone? In what ways does “Christianity” in our culture often notlook like this description?
- Read 1 Peter 1:13-21 together. What are the similarities in the way these passages use the word ignorance? Why is this an important word in both of these explanations from Paul, and how should that word affect us?
- Why is a pursuit of holiness necessarily BOTH an individual and a corporate pursuit? Why does it depend on an ever-deepening understanding of Jesus as our substitute?
