Use this daily guide to help you internalize this week’s passage & message!
Sunday [KNOW]:
In a journal, reflect on today’s sermon by finishing any or all of the following:
I never knew…
I was reminded…
A question I still have…
I was challenged…
I was convicted…
A truth I could share is…
Monday [KNOW>BE]
Spend some time today doing the following:
- Select a portion of this week’s sermon passage to memorize this week.
- Write your selected portion and read it to yourself throughout the day today.
Tuesday [Be]:
In a journal, spend some time meditating and writing about the following:
- Read the sermon passage again.
- Write a prayer of response, guided by the sermon passage. (May include adoration, confession/repentance, thanksgiving, petition, etc.).
- Write your selected portion of the Scripture several times to aid in memorization.
Wednesday [BE>DO]:
Think about this week’s questions for group discussion.
- How did this week’s message perhaps challenge the way you have typically thought about seeking God’s will?
- Can you recall ways that God has guided you in the past? Has there been a variety of ways?
- How should God’s sovereignty fill us with confidence to take steps forward, even if we lack the understanding or assurance we desire? Why is daily walking with him so important to having this confidence? Why is meaningful membership important?
Thursday [DO]:
In a journal, spend some time considering the following:
- What insights have you had while internalizing this week’s passage?
- How specifically will you seek to apply its truths in your home/workplace/life in general?

Wednesday [BE>DO]:
Think about this week’s questions for group discussion.
1. Read Philippians 4:12-13 together again. What obstacles exist in your life that prevent you from being as confident as Paul is in this exertion? Paul says he has learned this…in what ways are you disciplining yourself in this way?
2. In what unique ways are Christians increasingly called to ’suffer’ in gospel work in our own culture? In what ways do our hearts need to be conditioned to suffer in this way? 3. What is one commitment you can make in order to grow in “grace-enabled endurance?” How do we pursue this?

Wednesday [BE>DO]:
Think about this week’s questions for group discussion.
- What is your greatest obstacle to participating in personal evangelism? Does this week’s passage/message address that fear? If so, how?
- How might the scenario have played out differently in this week’s passage if Barnabas and Paul had been man-centered instead of God-centered?
- Have you had the opportunity to share the gospel at all with your “one?” How can your group continue to pray as you seek to share with them?

Wednesday [BE>DO]:
Think about this week’s questions for group discussion.
- What is one aspect of who Jesus is that is bigger in your view after our study of Hebrews 1:1-4 on Sunday? How does this change your perspective?
- Read the following passages together and see if you can summarize what our response (in worship & in life) should be to each as a group: John 1:1-18; Philippians 2:5-11; & Colossians 1:15-20.
- Take some time in your group to pray in reflection of this past year’s My Life Matters ministry. Pray for the seeds planted, for others to water, and for us all to be faithful now as God continues to work through his Spirit.
