I never knew…
I was reminded…
A question I still have…
I was challenged…
I was convicted…

I was encouraged to…
I need to dig deeper into…
BE (CONSIDER): What does God’s Word lead me to prayerfully consider?
In your journal, use the following questions to write some prompts to use n praying through this week’s passage:
Is there a command to obey?
How am I compelled to exalt God?
Is there a promise to claim?
Is there a principle to follow?
Is there an example to follow?
Am I convicted to confess any sin?
Is there a sin to avoid?
How do I need to rest in Jesus/the gospel?
How can I pray for someone else?
What am I compelled to love or desire?
DO (YIELD): How does God’s Word Call me to yield my life?
In your journal, write your answers and thoughts in response to the following questions.
- What are some of the most difficult aspects of living out a persevering love for others? Whey is this sort of love so rare in our culture?
- Can you think of a time when someone showed you this sort of persevering love as they faithfully pressed you into Christ? How has God used that in your life?
- Now that we have completed our walk through the 4 P’s of this statement, what are you convicted to do as a first step toward pursuing God’s agenda?

- How does an understanding of this whole process of Christian growth and maturity open to us the fullness of what the gospel really is?
- How does fervency in prayer and fervency to speak the Word into the lives of others go hand in hand?
- I heard it said very recently, “every believer should have intentional relationships with (1) someone much more mature in Christ, (2) someone at about the same point in their walk, and (3) someone who is ‘younger’ in the faith.” Do you agree? What is the purpose for each? Is this true for you?

- Can you recall a specific time when a brother or sister in Christ encouraged, exhorted, or even confronted you by speaking the Word into your life in a way that pressed you more deeply into Christ?
- What is the most difficult aspect of “truthing” together, or intentionally speaking God’s Word into the lives of others? Can you say that you have grown in your ability to do that as you have progressed in your walk with Christ?

- What is your general (and genuine) reaction to the idea of you yourself being a disciple-maker? Does the way we defined that on Sunday help you? If so, how?
- What is one area of knowledge or activity or ability that you have that you would say you are “able to instruct others” in? Who can you point to as those you have “discipled” in that area? How do you know?
- Considering the clarification of the calling we all share, what is one tangible step toward that vision do you need to take right now? How can others pray for you?
